Clair Hurta, 12, is from Bay City, Texas. She has grown up on the Colorado River, where gators and snakes are part of the routine. Even through the critters are there, she still wants to be in the water. Clair started wake surfing with her mom when she was 2 years old. She started off wakeboarding and kneeboarding then transitioned into wake surfing. She fell in love with the sport and started competing in some Texas competition when she was 8.

In 2024, she started competing with the WSWS. That year, she placed 2nd at the World Wake Surf Championship in Youth Girls. In 2025, she moved up to Amateur Women, where she finally got to compete on both surf and skim style. She got 2nd place at the World Wake Surfing Championship in Amateur Women Surf and 3rd place in Amateur Women Skim.

When Clair is not in the river, she is participating in athletics in Junior High where she plays volleyball and basketball. She also goes to the deer lease with her dad during deer season. They are fortunate to be able to stay in the river year around as South Texas has mild winters typically.

Tripp is a young yet accomplished wake surfer who is passionate and driven as they come. With a deep passion for the sport, Tripp is one who is always testing boundaries on the board and making lasting friendships along the way. To Tripp, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of gliding across the water, working hard to master new tricks/techniques, and pushing himself. Tripp’s journey started in junior high when his family purchased their first boat and began spending weekends on the water. After discovering the Competitive Wake Surf Association, Tripp became hooked and ultimately entered his first competition in May of 2018. Since then, Tripp has accomplished some incredible feats in the wake surfing community, including being invited to Worlds for five consecutive years and becoming the youngest in surf style men’s pro division at 15. When Tripp is not in the water, he loves to snowboard and train jiu jitsu. Tripp is also a student at the University of Tennessee Knoxville majoring in mechanical engineering.

Jordan grew up in the Pacific Northwest. He spent most of his childhood on skateboards and snowboards. Some of his first experiences on the water were rafting the Klamath River. He also tried to wakeboard behind his family’s early 70’s cuddy cabin cruiser. In 1999 he was involved in a snowboarding accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Ocean surfing was one of the first sports he got into after his accident. Surfing got him back on a board living a full life again. He found adaptive wake surf in 2020. He would like to shout out Arizona Adaptive Water Sports and Century Marine for making it possible. He now calls Lake Pleasant his home lake. Wake surfing has become an enormous passion in his life. Taking himself to competition all over the country, allowing him to meet the amazing community which he calls his surf family. His dream is that one day there will be an adaptive surf division in every competition around the world. With adaptive athletes everywhere experiencing the pure thrill of riding behind a Centurion Boat. He can’t wait to see where adaptive surfing goes. Jordan is an adaptive sports consultant/coach by day, His passion in life is showing others that getting back outside and pushing the limits is so worth it!

Tommy started wake surfing at the age of 12. After consistently riding for about a year, he decided he wanted to start competing. His very first competition was the Cali Comp Festival in 2019, that competition showed him wake surfing is way more fun that he had thought. He stuck with it and worked his way up the ranks and divisions and loved every second of it. Fast forward about 5 years and now he is going into his 3rd year as a professional. Over the years he has put so much time and effort into this sport and is grateful for where he is at now. He can’t thank his friends, family and sponsors enough for all the time and money they have invested in him.
